How to ensure a stress-free wedding morning

The morning of your wedding is one of the most magical, emotional, and exciting times of your life, but without a little planning, it can quickly become overwhelming. At Olive Blossom Bridal, we’ve helped so many of brides prepare for their big day, and we know just how important it is to begin the day feeling calm, organised, and glowing.

Here’s our ultimate guide to making your wedding morning run smoothly

The Night Before: Set the Stage for a Beautiful Morning

1. Steam and Prep Your Dress EarlyYour wedding dress deserves to look just as flawless as you dreamed. The night before, take your gown and veil out of the bag and hang them somewhere safe where they can breathe and the fabric can naturally settle. If your dress needs steaming, this is the perfect time to do it – not in a rush the next morning!

2. Don’t Forget the Veil and Accessories
Your veil and accessories need love too. Hang your veil so any creases fall out overnight, and lay out all your jewellery, shoes, perfume, and other essentials so they’re ready for the morning.

3. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
We know it’s easier said than done, but try to wind down early with a calming routine. Light a candle, sip some herbal tea, and stay off your phone.

The Morning Of:

1. Eat Something (Really!)
With all the excitement in the air, it’s easy to forget to eat, but you’ll need fuel to get through the day. A light, nutritious breakfast and plenty of water will keep you energized and glowing. Pro tip: eat before hair and makeup to avoid smudging those perfect lips!

Stick to a Time Plan
Hair and makeup can easily run over, so make sure you know who’s going first, second, and so on – and build in buffers. Unexpected delays can happen, so allow extra time for everyone, especially yourself

Give Yourself a Full Hour to Get Dressed

This is your moment. We recommend setting aside at least one hour to get into your dress. This allows time for whoever is dressing you to carefully do up those delicate buttons or corset laces and, more importantly, it gives you a moment to breathe, take in all your hard work, and raise a glass of Prosecco (or your favourite drink) before heading down the aisle.

Bonus Tips
• Have a bridal emergency kit on hand (needle and thread, stain wipes, deodorant, double-sided tape)

• Play a calming playlist while getting ready

• Don’t forget tissues — happy tears are inevitable!

• Delegate photo must-haves to someone who can coordinate with your photographer
